As The South Country Education Foundation, Inc. enters its 26th year of improving classrooms in the district with exciting programs, field trips and more, we are happy to report that our work is going well.

Each year, our major fundraising event, our annual Cocktail Party and Auction draws more supporters and raises more money. But we can’t stop there. Now we are ready to dream bigger!

This spring we will introduce Fifth Graders to swimming lessons at the YMCA recognizing that island-dwellers (all of us living here on Long Island) need strong aquatic skills.

Lessons learned outside the classroom have always been a major focus of our funding with trips to Montauk Point, Fire Island nature preserves, New York City museums, all part of our history.
